INTRODUCTION

For or against the rise in Tuition fees?

It is a major debate in the UK, should studies be highly subsidized by governments or should students pay for their education? Does it mean better quality education or does it mean that students from less well off social backgrounds will be unable to go to university?

The purpose of this web quest is to have students choose a side of the tuition fees debate (for or against) and have them construct a valid argument that will be debated between two students (a student and a university Dean) in the final step of this web quest. Students must include specific arguments for or against on the issue with research to support their views.
